Today, I hiked the final 2.75 kilometres of the Bruce Trail, I needed to complete the Niagara Club. (When we attempted to finish the Niagara Club last time we were blocked due to a craft festival at Ball’s Falls.)
What can I say? It was short and sweet! The temperature hovered around zero degrees, just like when we began the Niagara Club. Only this time, instead of the trail being thick with thawing mud, it was covered with autumn leaves, earth’s orange, red and brown confetti. We started with the amazing Ball’s Falls and continued along the escarpment and through the woods. There was a great lookout of the gorge and several small waterfalls. Then just like that we met a gravel road and we were done.
We then went to lunch at Grand Oak Culinary Market on Victoria Ave.
Thank you to my old friend J for your trail companionship, encouragement and support. We started it together and we finished it together. Forever grateful.
