Hi there. I’m Torch (camp name).

I’m an outdoor enthusiast, adventurer, mom and Guider, business professional, ski pro and artist. Toronto, Canada is my home base. I was born and raised in beautiful British Columbia. My backpacking adventures started before I could walk. Yup, my ride was the backpack on my Dad’s back. We travelled all over North America, mostly BC to Ontario and Washington to California and the North MidWest.

I started this site soon after my daughter and I began our annual excursions. You may notice most of our companions are female and youth. If we can do it, you can too.
