The Algonquin Lookout is a classic must see for anyone who enters the park. It provides a vista of the layered rolling treed hills that would look gorgeous in any season.
We were the first on the trail that day and it was pretty cold. We enjoyed the the meandering climb through the snowy trees and were rewarded with promised view.
We stopped for our usual picnic lunch and enjoyed our ice sandwiches. On the way back, we took advantage of the steeper downwards paths and body surfed our way to the trail’s end. We did it over and over like we were kids again and laughed more than I had in years.
