Our second hike excursion was to Peck Lake. The parking was sort of open, but we couldn’t manage to get our vehicle in, so again we found a nook and left it there.
There had been signs of other people on this trail, but they seemed to stop close to the beginning after they were able to get a glimpse of the lake. The sounds along this trail along with the reported wolf sitings and approaching dusk had admittedly spooked us to the point where we were more concerned with our fasted route back to the car than stopping to enjoy the experience. None he less we did enjoy the trail blazing – nothing like being the first to traipse through fresh snow.
Not really part of our hike, but definitely part of our day, we got to view this lovely full moon when we got back to the cottage.
