Sproat Lake Provincial Park

Sport Lake is a large lake that you pass to and from West side of Vancouver Island. It has always intrigued me. Partially, I wondered why would anyone go to a lake when surrounded by an ocean.  And yet through the trees it looked so idyllic, and it was.  We left the rainy Pacific Rim and entered into sun cast warmth. It was a great place to stop to stretch our legs and have a snack.

Of course, I had done some research on Sproat Lake before deciding to stop.  It turns out there are some fantastic Petroglyphs reachable by a flat 500m trail. It is very much worth the stop.
