This year our Mother/Daughter camp, Camp Napopo, was a surf camp called Surf Junction out near Ucluelet and Tofino, British Columbia. Surf Junction is a well planned camp, with nicely spaced private sites. Though it is also well used, it is well kept too.  You can rent all of your surfing equipment from the office, as well as take lessons.

Surf Junction has two bonuses:

1. There is a hot tub to help reduce any aches and pains after being pelted with waves. You also get to meet other surfers of different levels and hear their stories.
2. It’s in a fog zone, which means while the rest of the Island is on a fire ban, we can could have camp fires.
   

Post surfing happiness.
One evening we went down to beach Green Point.  While my daughter skipped with kelp, I witnessed a very romantic sunset proposal. Wish I got their contact info to send them the photo I snuck.

After that we decided to climb the rocks to the red chairs. Why am I always wearing Crocs at the worst times.
