Painting on the Beach

Perhaps a well kept secret – I love do draw and paint when I travel. And, more often than not I give my pages away. On the beach there is so much to inspire your soul. There is the every changing landscape, found objects, salt water, creatures and the cast of lighting.

I went to went to Goats on the Roof to pick up some simple art supplies and used shells and salt water for my palettes.

When the mood suited, I went for walk to find a new muse whatever it may be – jellyfish, sand, sea shells, starfish, crabs, kelp, trees, pebbles, smoke filled sunsets.

Lion’s Mane Jellyfish

When I found the Mermaids and Beach Boys sign leading up to a beach house, I knew I would be mermaid for the rest of my visit.

If only you could have seen the true colours of this sun. It’s popped like Monet’s, The Poppy Field in Musée d’Orsay.
