I was feeling very fall festive while planning this 20km hike through the Beaver Valley. In addition to sharing the route and what we saw on this trail, I share making butternut squash soup. As well, Beaver Valley is abundant in apple trees, which inspired me to make apple pie from apples I picked up at Spirit Tree Estate Cidery.

On Saturday, October 21st, 2023, I hosted a fall colour hike at Scarborough Bluffs and share some highlights from this.

On Sunday, October 22nd, 2023, we hiked the Bruce Trail from Kolapore parking lot to Old Baldy parking lot, which high on top of the Niagara Escarpment. This is a stunning hike that I highly recommend to everyone who is up for a bit of challenge. The upward climbs provide great views as a reward. Metcalfe rock was so cool. I definitely would like to return to explore a bit more. Pinnacle rock was massive. There is a pretty waterfall and you get to hug the escarpment wall in a couple of places. And one can’t forget the magical shower of falling leaves at this time of year! I’ll leave the suprise of McClusky’s Rock for you.
