Beach to beach, sunrise to sunset.
We awoke with the Atlantic sunrise and quietly packed up so that we could gas up and see the red cliffs of Cavendish before making our ferry reservation to Nova Scotia. When I stopped for gas, I had to search in my memory bank on how to use the older style pump.
The cliffs were beautiful and we had them and the red chairs all to ourselves.
The drive to ferry took us through quiet roads, many through farms. We made good time and made it to the ferry an hour before our reservation. They let us board the ferry that had just arrived. It was another hot day, which made for a pleasant upper deck voyage.
We stopped for groceries in Caribou, Nova Scotia and then continued the long drive to Cheticamp Campground in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Here we get to stay for 2 nights. We setup our site and then went to La Bloc Beach. We found the beach quite rocky, but enjoyable. There a few others there, but otherwise it was quiet. We wandered and relaxed while enjoying the sunset.
