After a day of hiking through Cathedral Grove and beach hopping the Pacific Rim we made our way to Shelter restaurant in Tofino.

The aesthetic is West Coast surf meets log cabin modern. The food so good, it will have you wishing for two stomachs. Excuse the grainy iPhone by candlelight pics.

Plate 1: Meares Island Chowder and the special. All delish.

Plate 2: The smoked double cut porkchop.

We shared two desserts, the dark chocolate mousse and vanilla bean gelato. Our taste buds are still singing.

Most of the tables were reserved and the place filled up quickly. Ask for a window table upstairs. You’ll want the view.
