If you ever find yourself in Nanaimo visit the Sea Wolf in this place of dreams, Petroglyph Provincial Park. The park is located at the south end of Nanaimo. This makes it an ideal visit when heading to or coming from down island. It is free to access the short hike. Please be careful around these priceless treasures. I’ve visited the petroglyphs since I was a child have seen their condition deteriorate over the years from vandals and those who go off trail. Please made do with the provided castings.

If you wish to make a day of Nanaimo you may enjoy a stroll around the popular harbour and if you are lucky you may happen upon the Nanaimo Farmer’s Market. We picked-up this delicious rhubarb strawberry pie for our family picnic dinner.
